Our research

Lifelong Health & Wellbeing

The Lifelong Health and Wellbeing (LLHW) cross-Council initiative finished at the end of March 2015, although some projects are still on-going. LLHW was established to meet the challenges and opportunities of an ageing population. The LLHW programme supported research addressing factors throughout life that influenced health and wellbeing in older age.

Research & activities

Whilst ageing research remains a priority for the Research Councils, the LLHW programme closed at the end of March 2015.

Applications for funding should be via response mode to the most appropriate Research Council. Multidisciplinary ageing research will continue to be supported under the cross-Council Concordat, which allows us to share peer review and funding.
