The Regulatory Support Centre (RSC) provides support and guidance for those conducting research with human participants, their tissues or data.

Change is coming, see below:
• The Regulatory Support Centre has formalised its part-time secondment to the Health Research Authority (HRA) and we look forward to our continued collaboration.
• The MRC has responded to the consultation on the future of the HTA and HFEA. The MRC’s preferred option was Option 3 (to retain both the HTA and HFEA with further efficiencies).
• The European Commission adopted a proposal for the “Clinical Trials Regulation” on 17 July (to repeal Clinical Trials Directive 2001/20/EC).
• ECC Queries (Section 251 approvals) remain limited whilst they transfer to the HRA.
