An alliance of research funders including charities, Research Councils and the UK Health Departments are pooling resources to support the UKPRP, a new initiative in prevention research. A funding call will follow later in 2017.

Population health sciences (PHS) are concerned with the study of biological and environmental influences on the physical and mental health and wellbeing of populations.
The MRC funds population health sciences (PHS) through boards and panels, centres and units, strategic skills fellowships, multi-funder partnerships and strategic initiatives, and support global health research through our units, grants, fellowships and partnerships with other funders.

Population cohorts, Research Data Gateway, Cohorts and Longitudinal Studies Enhancement Resources (CLOSER), data sharing policy and the Farr Institute of Health Informatics Research.
