MRC researchers join Fellowship of Academy of Medical Sciences

MRC-supported scientists are among the 46 distinguished medical researchers elected as Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
Election to the Fellowship is awarded for scientific excellence which includes notable contribution to medical research and healthcare, the generation of new knowledge in medical sciences and its translation into benefits to society.
The new intake to the Fellowship includes the highest female cohort to date (37%). This year's elected Fellows have expertise spanning many different areas of medical research including women’s health, immunology, public health and infectious disease. The new Fellows will be officially appointed at a ceremony on Wednesday 28 June.
