The unit undertakes research on: (1) molecular genetics of inherited and acquired human disease; (2) the molecular and cellular basis of human and mouse developmental disorders; (3) animal models of human genetic disease; (4) the structure of mammalian chromosomes and the control of chromosome replication and segregation; (5) computer aided image analysis of mammalian development and chromosome structure; (6) high resolution mapping of defined regions of the human genome.
