The mission of the proposed MRC Centre in Allergic Mechanisms of Asthma is to advance understanding of allergic mechanisms at system, cellular and molecular levels, to inform the development of new, effective and targeted treatments.
A further key objective is the development of the centre into a high quality integrated environment for basic and clinical research training in allergy and asthma. Finally, the centre will provide authoritative public information on asthma and allergy in conjunction with stakeholders and partners.
