How to donate brain tissue for research
A priority for the UK Brain Banks network is to establish a system to make it easier for people to donate brain tissue and to understand what they need to consider before coming to a decision. This will include helping people explain to their relatives and friends about the consent process and the practical aspects of what donation involves.
This system is still being developed, so in the meantime, if you are interested in finding out more about brain donation, please contact one of the UK brain banks or the Brains for Dementia Research co-ordinating centre directly.
