MRC re-structures its Management Board

The MRC today announced a re-structuring of its senior management team following the departure last summer of its Chief Operating Officer, John Jeans.
Dr Wendy Ewart has taken on the role of Deputy Chief Executive while maintaining her responsibilities as Director of Strategy. Wendy will cover for Sir John Savill, the MRC’s Chief Executive, when he is on other business or abroad.
Bruce Minty, Finance Director, becomes Chief Operating and Finance Officer with overall responsibility for a number of the MRC’s business areas: major projects, corporate affairs, finance and human resources. He will have line management responsibility for the Senior Unit Administrators.
The MRC’s Research Programmes Group reports directly to John Savill. The role of Finance Director will be filled by Hugh Dunlop who moves from his existing position as Financial Controller.
