Alice Cory Early Research Training Fellowship

The Medical Research Council has been eligible to receive charitable bequests and donations since the 1920’s and registered its charity in the 1960’s. Members of the public make donations and bequests and the Medical Research Foundation’s independent trustees support medical research in line with the donor’s wishes.

The late Miss Alice Mary Cory bequeathed the residue of her estate to establish medical research fellowships. The Trustees have agreed to support a new fellowship scheme from Miss Cory’s generous bequest.

The scheme is aimed at providing support for GPs, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals to enrol on a full-time or part-time Masters degree containing a significant research component.

The scheme is aimed at supporting training for methodological research and applications are invited in areas such as, experimental design, epidemiology, imaging, health economics and statistics.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 1st February 2008. For further detailed information please see ‘Studentship schemes’.
