Faces of Medical Research - Public Meeting

The MRC is pleased to announce the programme for the 2007 Public Meeting to be held in London on the 25th July.

Theme

This year BBC broadcaster Barbara Myers will be in conversation with some of the MRC’s leading researchers, asking them about their research, their careers and their working lives.

From schizophrenia and cancer research, through the use of stem cells as a treatment for blindness, to the development of new techniques for studying how our bodies work in health and disease, our researchers from around the country will explain the excitement and importance of their research and outline some of the challenges for the future.

Whether you are student interested in a career in research, have a personal interest in medicine and health, or simply want to find out more, the MRC’s public meeting is a chance to meet and discuss with MRC Council members, hear about our achievements over the past year, and listen to and question researchers.
