Call for Proposals: UKCRC Translational Infection Research Initiative
The major funders of infection research in the UK have come together under the auspices of the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) to launch a UK wide initiative to boost infection research.
This initiative is intended to encourage diverse research communities to form productive partnerships, combing their expertise to focus effort on research goals aimed at making a significant clinical and public health impact in the field of infection research.
The initiative will be funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, Medical Research Council, National Institute for Health Research/ Department of Health, Research and Development Office for the HPSS in Northern Ireland, Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Executive Health Directorate, Wales Office of Research and Development for Health and Social Care, Welsh Assembly Government and Wellcome Trust.
The MRC will provide the administrative management for this initiative on behalf of the participating funders.
