MRC Roadshows

In 2003 MRC conducted a series of roadshow events at UK universities. The events, held on a regional basis, were enormously informative and constructive.

Discussions during the meetings helped shape the wide-ranging changes we introduced to the MRC’s funding schemes in April 2004.

We are conducting a further 12 roadshows in order to:-

1. get feedback from researchers on our funding schemes,

2. provide an update on our input into the Government’s 2007 Comprehensive Spending Review,

3. discuss the outcome of Sir David Cooksey’s review of UK health research funding.
