New Call for Proposal: Translational Vaccine Research
As a result of a recent review of vaccine research by the MRC’s Infections & Immunity Research Board (IIB), the MRC is now inviting proposals for funding in translational vaccine research. The IIB has earmarked £3.5m for this call.
The call focuses on strengthening multidisciplinary and collaborative research into key areas of translational vaccine research, such as:
- T Cell biology
- Adjuvants
- Biomarkers and Correlates of protection
- Mucosal Vaccines
- Assay Standardisation
Applicants must demonstrate strong mechanisms for ensuring translation of findings to downstream users. They must specify verifiable milestones and outputs, and their proposed indicators of successful translation.
Proposals may involve several universities, industrial partners, MRC Units, other Research Councils and funders.
