Dorothy Hodgkin postgraduate award

This studentship programme is now closed for applications and is available for reference purposes only.

Dorothy Hodgkin Postgraduate Awards (DHPA) is a UK scheme to bring outstanding students from India, China, Hong Kong, South Africa, Brazil, Russia and the developing world to come and study for PhDs in top rated UK research facilities. The initiative was launched by the Prime Minister in November 2003.

The scheme is jointly funded across research councils and with industry partners. Further information, including a list of eligible countries and universities in receipt of awards is available on the RCUK website.

Students wanting to apply for DHPA funding should contact individual recipient universities, using the contact points provided on the RCUK website, rather than sending applications to MRC or RCUK.
