Most of the research that the MRC funds is in response to proposals by scientists, however from time to time we stimulate research in priority areas by publishing call for proposals. The list below displays all current calls. An archive of closed calls is available for reference purposes.
Enhancing UK’s Clinical Research Capabilities & Technologies: call for Expressions of interest
MRC, in partnership with the DH, Wellcome Trust, CRUK, BHF, ARUK and Research Councils are seeking expressions of interest from internationally recognised institutions with a proven track record in cutting-edge clinical research.
Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) - Call for research proposals: prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes
Call focus: implementation science research. Regional focus: low- and middle-income countries.
Stratified Medicine - Second call for proposals for disease-focused partnerships to stratify disease for patient benefit
