Recent awards and proposal success rates

In 2012/13 the MRC received over 1,700 applications for funding through our grant and fellowship schemes, 422 awards were made with a total value of over 350m.Funding decisions are made on the basis of the scientific quality of the applications received and success rates vary over time due to levels of funding available and demand from the research community. Information on the success rates for 2012/13 is provided in the below, historical data can also be downloaded:
