Clinical Trials

Clinical trials show the benefits and risks of healthcare interventions – such as medicines, surgery or radiotherapy, by comparing them with the standard treatments currently in use or with a dummy drug or ‘placebo’. In this section you can learn more about our clinical trials and how to take part in them, profiles of leading scientists who work on clinical trials and important MRC trials that have helped changed the world.
