Screening men for abdominal aneurysms can reduce mortality
Results from the MRC-funded Multi-centre Aneurysm Screening Study suggest that a national ultrasound screening programme for men over 65 could prevent more than 2,000 deaths from abdominal aortic aneurysms each year.
