Council vacancies 2012
Sir John Chisholm will step down as chair of the MRC in September 2012. A successor was sought by the Secretary of State to lead the MRC, working with the Chief Executive and the Council. The deadline for applications was Monday 12 March and the shortlisting process will now take place. An announcement will be made in the press following the appointment.
Council membership
The appointments panel for the Medical Research Council (MRC) sought applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill two vacancies for part-time membership on the Council.
Applications for these vacancies have now closed and interviews were held on 6 March 2012.
Details of the 2013 vacancies will be published in the autumn of 2012.
